| Spike: | Maybe you could do a Sun Bonnet Sue Goes Orienteering quilt.
Or something darker....like this: http://www.sundrysites.com/embroidery/sunbonnetsue... |

| Bash: | I almost contacted you (Peggy, not Spike) when I was invited to a recent wedding shower. We were supposed to bring quilt squares that would be relevant to our relationship with the bride. I was pretty stressed about this due to my lack of artistic talent and quilt knowledge, and I was going to ask whether there were quilters for hire anywhere! That plan fizzled when the shower organizers decided instead to provide materials and let us make our quilt squares at the party. So much for my outsourcing idea! It was surprisingly fun, although I'm still no artist. Here is my rendition of the speedy bride (Leanimal) doing hill intervals with me.

| Bash: | It was fun to see all the different quilt memories, ranging from volleyball games to fishing on the dock. And fortunately, there were only a few party guests who had serious quilting and/or artistic talent, so it wasn't as embarrassing as originally feared. (I'd considered missing the shower entirely, I was so worried.) |

| peggyd: | Pretty cool! Wish I'd thought of that.
I've heard, & maybe seen, the Sunbonnet Sue meets her demise quilt. Spike, did your mom have anything to do with it? |
