Swisscheese: Hello Will!
It is nice to see some sign of life of you! Cool to see your training!
Kind regards, Marc

Swisscheese: Oh, but you are kicking my b...!!

#  Posted 2006-01-17 02:16:52
wilsmith: Well, as I've recently been told, apparently it's not the training that counts, but your positions in the races that are important... So I guess you've been kicking my butt all over the place!

I've been thinking of heading to Denmark for mid-March; will you be around then?

#  Posted 2006-01-17 03:02:05
Swisscheese: Actually, here the rules are different... the only thing which counts is the # of hours! And anyway, if we add up the years you were kicking my butt, you also win!
I will come to Denmark only for the Spring Cup. Mid-March is too disguting to go to Denmark only for training ;-).

BorisGr: All right Wil, way to put in some hardcore badminton work! :)

Seriously, though, I may be in Denmark in mid- to late March, so let me know if you make some definite plans. And - cool to see you posting on AP!

hammer: Hey Swisscheese. I kicked your butt once in a Billygoat - does that count? :-)

Wil, I'll be in DK in 2 weeks.

wilsmith: Hey Hammer - sound great. Are you on for the Nordjysk 2-Dages? Sounds like Sandy won't be there for the beginning of the camp but will be for the end. I just traded away my E.R. shifts for that time period and am planning on flying into CPH sometime around the 8th or 9th and renting a car. Hopefully stay until the 15th or so - they'll be after me to get to work again so I can't miss too much! Any word from Mike Smith on whether or not he's coming?

hammer: Wil, I'm going to have to pass since I would have to fly over then back to Canada then back over again. I leave to Europe on April 4th (after the Pig). We return on August 9th after WOC. But that camp and race sound perfect....

SandyHott: Wil! Katta tipped me off on your log. You're hardcore! Looking forward to see you in DK! Keep churning out the hours. It'll pay dividends in the summer.

#  Posted 2006-01-18 09:29:40
wilsmith: Well, not hardcore exactly. But I found that with you and Holger visiting and demonstrating just what was possible with relatively little rearrangement of life (so far anyway), it was pretty easy to get going. I don't think my body will handle the 22+ hours per week that you guys pour on, but for now 10-12 seems pretty doable, particularly since my intensity isn't too high at the moment.

szurcher: Wil, good to see you on AP, it's a great little website, huh!?!?
Sandy, why don't you log here? I think we would all be inspired to see what is possible. Sounds like everyone benefited from your Christmas trip to NA, I know that the US team attendees of the Winter training camp really enjoyed your presentations, but also found them valuable. Wish I could have been there!
