szurcher: do you have any pictures of the terrain you could post. Looks very interesting.

Cristina: I threw some pics here: http://www.boojums.org/cristina/fotos/AnzaBorrego/

Mostly just quick photos from my tent area (1-10), so no close shots of the tricky stuff from Day 1, but some shots of the Maze-O stuff (9-12).

PG: Thanks, Cristina, I forgot our camera. By the way, when you look at the subtle parts of the terrain from any distance, it just looks like a totally bland, gently sloping hillside. Only on closer inspection are there lots of little spurs and reentrants.

Swampfox: If you take a look at image 13 from Cristina's shots, you will see some chollas looking *amazingly* like a herd of attack badgers in the classic "we're gonna git us some orienteers!" stance. (shudder...very scary image)

Cristina: And here I was thinking that they looked like meerkats. Of course, I've never seen an attack badger, so I wouldn't know what they look like so up close and personal. I suppose that if I did know, I wouldn't still be here to say so anyway.
