Since I don't seem to be able to relocate well in the heat of the race, I feel like I need to come up with a system to try to force myself to do it right. Something like giving myself 30 seconds to try to relocate at the point I realize I've lost contact and then if that doesn't work, go straight to where I last had contact or to a major major feature.

Part of my problem is I really have no concept of how much time has passed until after I find the control. I know the feeling of going along, knowing where you are, and spiking controls, so when I "spike" someone else's control (or lose contact) in the nearby area, I should use THAT as my trigger to GO BACK TO LAST CONTACT. I should have several opportunities to try this method out in the next few weeks before the NA's; I hope I can remember and get it to work...
