| Bash: | Not too attractive, but that photo accurately reflects how I felt. In fact, maybe it looks a bit better than how I felt! I was last into my sleeping bag at 2:30 a.m. after doing maps between the night race and the morning race, then I was up again at 5 a.m. Didn't really wake up again until... well, actually, I *still* don't feel totally awake! |

| Bash: | They've been working on this event for almost 2.5 years - 20 days of course planning in the area. Although the warm welcome and beautiful scenery definitely inspire me to return, I'd be surprised if they'd run another Raid there in the near future. There isn't much road access except along the coast, and it would be difficult to plan a race course that would feel substantially different from the one that we did, which meandered through areas near the coast. We were mostly within 5 km of the main road, and we followed the entire length of that road over the 4 days. Maybe in a few years after a break, they could go up there again - it's certainly a spectacular place. |
