| khall: | Okay, I'll bite. What is a secret Russian running drill? |

| j-man: | This is like WMD proliferation. I detect the maleovent influence of Balter, acting through his agents! |

| Swisscheese: | Uhm uhm, WMD proliferation sounds like a very dangerous and fierce pathology.
But I can reassure you, secret russian running drills is not an illness... though, it has high potential to induce one... I didn't find a proper translation for "laufschule" (german) or école de course (French). Literally it means running school, but Sandra thought it didnt sound so great, and she suggested to use plyometrics instead. But than she said it is not exactly correct either, because it is more jumping than what I mean with école de course. Oh, so the secret russian running drills are some short repetition of special steps like butt kiks, skipping, etc& actually, I guess like track drills& well, actually, this could be the accurate translation!! |

| szurcher: | I never said "Laufschule" were plyometrics... Laufschule to me means track drills, or running drills, which is what I call them. Of course secret Russian running drills sounds much cooler. But they sure aren't much of a secret to the running community and I'm not sure if the Russians came up with them, so it actually makes no sense :-) |

| BorisGr: | Of course the Russians came up with them. We invented running, after all. Just ask Balter. |

| theshadow: | I have always wondered what to call these things...
I have them down as "form exercises" in my log. |

| Swisscheese: | Sandra, you have no idea what I am doing... and of course I won't tell you in detail... it is a secret!!! |
