Ralph: well... I have many excuses
5 minutes at control 1. Apparently it was in the wrong place, not sure, map was really weird.
3 1/2 minutes at control 4. Looking for a distinctive tree, found a holly tree on the slope. No control, had a good check around along this path. Decided it wasn't mapped, so ran up the slope to some open and then down the slope again and found it.
4 minutes at control 7. Could not make any sense of the paths or the vegetation, thought I knew where I was and found a feature but wasn't mapped or in the right place. Somehow arrived at the control.
4 minutes at control 9. A statue in an open area, it was on the yellow course. No idea what happened.

Sarah Rollins did 30 and I did 43, so 15 minutes is about right.

Lard: There is an art to running on poor maps..... requires good general judgement and you need your head up.
There'll be lots more events like this - including abroad so it's a good skill to get used to.

Ralph: I think it was party due to the map, scale change from the sprint before, getting used to a pathy area again and also feeling a bit tired. At least it didn't matter that much.
