| Maryann: | That's funny because I spent most of my time on the south side and thought that a lot of you must have gone north! After the first control, I'd occasionally run into someone or see someone in the distance, but there was lots of solitude to just do my own thing. In fact, I was surprised that, on a beautiful day of a holiday weekend, I only saw about 5 mountain bikers and 8 equestrians the whole day. |

| Sswede: | Same here, and the equestrians I encountered were very polite. Karl and Ben on the other hand were referred to as cockroaches! |

| triple-double: | Sounds like it was a blast! Great job on strategic planning! |

| Maryann: | Cockroaches! Wow, that's really rude. I encountered mostly friendly people, or people who just averted their eyes! :-) |

| JanetT: | Nice going, Sandy. I was one of those who picked the south side first because it looked like less climb and more points in slightly less distance. I could probably have covered the whole south side but planned for a slower trip than it actually went (kept having to revise my plan when I got to the stream crossing in 2 hours and not 3!).
90 was pretty easy from the south; did you attack from the north? That way looked trickier. I also saw polite equestrians and bikers, and only a few orienteers after the first couple of controls or so. |

| Sswede: | My plan was to finish off a southern loop of 64, 42, 52, 82, 44, 50, 90, 68, and 78. I way overestimated myself and ended up only snagging 64, 42, 82, 44, 50, and 90. I attacked 90 from 50 but pulled too far right and had to relocate off the edge of the field, losing almost 5 min. BTY, great job on 2nd place! |

| JanetT: | Thanks -- I knew you and Valerie were probably my major competition with Julie also a factor, and I just barely squeaked by you. Valerie is awesome! :-)
Ouch on 90. The trails in there were much different than mapped (at least one indistinct trail is now much more distinct) and it messed me up in my attempt to go from 90 to 50, but since I ended up so close to 44 I went there for unplanned points. |

| Acampbell: | Janet my team had the same problem as you did going from 90 to 50. We got a bit messed up with the trails around there. However we didn't end up close enough to 44 to get that one and so went to 50. |

| vmeyer: | Great job! The AP ladies ruled, despite our collective feet issues. |

| JanetT: | Allison, I ended up at the trail junction just east of 44, at the corner of the field -- I could see the field, so went out to it to check where I was; when I figured that out, 44 was only about 150 m away, so I went for it. |
