Just how good a deal did you get on one? I'm hunting on mec.ca for one here, now that I have my car.
To the bikers, is going cheap and used a good idea on trainers, or is paying top dollar worth it?

get a cyclops fluid 2 trainer. Cheap, used...all depends on the trainer. go fluid. smooth, quiet, good resistance. Doubt you'll be disapointed.

I picked up a fluid2 as well after talking to Zoo on the weekend. They're a good brand, kinetic is another and probably a few others. The one at mec looks pretty good for the price for the fluid one. You really need to jump on one to know how the resistance feels and how loud they are etc. As well depends on how much you'll use it in terms of how much you want to spend or if you'll go used.

Never ever will get a treadmill. I find stationary biking a bore can't imagine doing all my miles on the mill. Don't know how you do it dude. Maybe I can retrofit my tub and have a pool as well. I admit though you have the coolest mini-training centre in your basement!

I've got a cool basement training centre now too.

HDTV, scotch storage, chips stand, oh yeah and indoor bike.

Treadmills are evil.

On that note apparently Simon has a good DVD he's producing re: Fossett that needs a preview somewhere with some good friends. I only know one place that has a hot tub, big screen TV, scotch storage and the works to hold this event. Not that I'm implying anything;)
