Hello,
I'm currently stuck in a foreign land many miles away from my CD of garmin software. This used to be fine, but my computer has since had to be restored to factory settings. I can now no longer upload my Garmin info to my computer. It's annoying.
Is there any way to download the software without this CD?
Thanks,
Rosalind.
Yeah,
I've tried them, but they haven't helped at all.
I think they just update the sotfware that I should have uploaded from the CD.
Just get
SportTracks instead. It's way better than Garmin's crappy Training Center.
Is it possible to turn the Garmin TC software "off" such that it doesn't auto execute every time I attach the device? I use SportTracks and it is annoying to have to wait for TC to do its thing, particularly because I'm just going to kill it.

On my XP machine, you can right click on the "G" on the desktop toolbar and disable the auto function.
Tack, kiitos and a merci! (I'm not a very sophisticated windows user and didn't even think of that.)
I agree that sporttracks and quickroute are better programmes. But the problem was that these other programmes seem to work through the training centre, so I needed to upload it even if I wasn't to use it.
All's sorted now though.
At one time, I could get topo maps with either of these programs when importing a run. Haven't been able to do so for quite some time. Tried everything I could find on sporttrack, and have upgraded to the latest version and have some of the plugins. Any hints?
