Sharon was third in her heat (I think), I was 10th in mine (top 16 after 2 days qualify for the A final) after a really awful day physically (food poisoning) and a really strong day mentally, Randy did good in M35-1 (don't know exactly where he ended up since all his class started late), Gail was 17th in her heat in F55 (top 20 make A final). That's all I can remember. I'll add some more at my training log.

Randy Hall, M35-1, 81:47 31/58. Winning time was 59:23 or so on an ~8.5km course. Its hard to tell exactly from bulletin 3, but it looks like they will split the field roughly equally into the A and B finals. With 120 competitors total in the M35-1 and -2 heats, Randy needs to be ~top 30 in his heat in the combined day1 and day2 times. He's on the bubble! Go get 'em Randy...

Yeah, I think top 30 make the cut in my class.
Only need to make up a few seconds ...

It was actually one of my better runs, if we can drop one control (looks like the damage on number 7 comes to about 8 minutes (ouch), and at the
time I thought only about 4 -- there is
something to underestimating your errors, it
keeps your morale up) ...

Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Good luck in
the Yukon.

I would never trust those Italians with their food anyway.
I hope Peter's strong, American build antibodies will overcome this little Italian born bacteria, and all the preparation for last day race will pay. Good luck, Peter, Sharon, Gail, and Randy

Well, better Italian than Russian...

But I second the sentiment - good luck to all.

j-man,
It would be really unfortunate for you if Dasha started reading this e-board...

Of course there are exceptions :)

Russian born bacteria would render him dead, better Italian than Russian!

DarthBalter:
Or, on other hand, Peter shell be totally immune to Russian born bacteria, at least those, existed before 1917

Speaking of rumors, it there any truth to the rumor that Karen (Williams) has landed herself an English hunk?

Randy will be checking this out on Saturday in Denmark. Stay tuned....

How is it that Swampfox is so tuned into gossip, halfway around the world while himself ensconced among the sage and bandits on the frontier?

Ain't nothin' else to do when you're hunkered down in the sage than to put the browser on autosurf and see what you might find. That, and the fact that Swampfox has gossip-mongering minions everywhere.

Russian-born bacteria would surely give Peter a wide berth, as a matter of courtesy.

Ahhh, it's so nice to be able to go to sleep securely at night, knowing that the ever vigilant National Gene Pool Coordinator is on the job and is alert to the possiblity of poor (or good!) genes trying to sneak into the pool.

Rumors are confired -- a hunk named Jason.
Apparently not an orienteer, tho ...
