The affliction of pondering an entry during a workout could be labled Advanced Attack Point or AAP.
You're mentally pre-logging on something of a blog, and you're certainly flogging yourself for your error, so how about:
Plogging or Phlogging?
"After that boom on #3, I found myself phlogging plausible excuses."
Or it could be related to the lack of attention you pay to the rest of your course/workout because you're pondering your AP entry:
Attackpoint Attention Deficit Disorder: AADD
Or you are applying words to your situation, mentally writing your AP log, so could it be aplogging?
All would work but on second thought, it may just be "anxiety." As Peter has pointed out several times regarding O-races, anxiety is not all bad either. Like the Heisenberg Principle, the pondering can affect the workout. Those worried about text may be motivated to do better training.
