jtorranc: So was this a posh bite from one of the allegedly rare Portuguese Water Dogs at the event (black curly fur, somewhat ressembling a poodle with a more sensible hairstyle) or a more plebeian bite?

Cristina: Nothing so exciting as a rare Portuguese Water Dog. The bite came from a skanky thing rescued from the streets of Mexico and now residing in Baltimore. Living under the same roof as Melissa! Maybe some day I'll understand dog people.

ebuckley: David Frei used to have a couple Portuguese Water Dogs. They'd go orienteering with him. They were really well behaved, they'd just kinda follow along. Students of history may note that the death match wasn't joined until those dogs were gone.

Cristina: Well, they look pretty harmless. Ugly, but harmless. I guess, if one is going to own a dog, might as well have one that is smart, well-behaved and doesn't shed. Find me one that also doesn't smell, bark, lick, bite, or need to be walked and maybe I'd be interested.

Swampfox: Eddie doesn't do any of those things. Maybe you could try him.

peggyd: I'm shocked you didn't like our green woods. I find the thorns to be just delightful.

Cristina: Oh, did I give the impression that I didn't like green woods? What was I thinking?! I *love* thorns. That's why I'm in Texas! :-)
