Discussion: Orienteering maps in Stockholm

I would like to put on a Score-O in Stockholm at the end of June this year, near the "International Fairs" conference center. Could anyone point me to information about the location of O maps in Stockholm, or orienteering clubs in the city? What is the Solberga park like?

The Score-O is an icebreaker event at the annual ISMB conference I go to (computational biology). Yes, I am coming to Stockholm for it. What orienteering might there be June 27-August 4?

The O-Ringen is the third week of July I think. A great event. A must if you are still in Sweden then. I did it last summer and I will never regret it. Actually planning to go back for the 50th anniversary in 2014. Also the Fin 5 is around that time too. You can get to the websites from the USOF site through the unofficial calendar by Randy, I think.

Fin 5 will be in Finland, not in Sweden.

The kartbanken site is great! All the map locations laid out that way on the Google map - lovely. And there is indeed a map of Solberga.

From May 11 until June 30 it is forbidden to have bigger meets in the Stockholm region. That period orienteers shall show considerateness to the animals who have some kind of nursery in the forests. But there could be smaller club meets. I think Boris lives in Uppsala. He will know.

Usually, Ravinen have a 3-evening event in Nacka Reservat in the beginning of July. I don't see it on the schedule for this year yet, but it might appear. If you are there when it's happening, Barb, you should definitely go. Anyway, email me closer to the dates if you want more specific info about what's going on.
