I have to dissagree with you on the last point. On average i am about 15-18% slower than you and while a portion is navigating, navigating on this control was insignificant. I think that I should have been at least a minute slower.

Maybe you're right. Did you go all the way around to the left and come in from behind the control? How much faster do you think the left route is? It's sort of hard to study with the descriptions sitting on top of it on my map, but Rosemary left her course 1 map in the car, so I was checking it out on her map earlier and wrote my impressions from memory when I logged the race.

I went up a trail that dropped me out near the intersection E of camp six and ran up the road to behind the control. There is a fire hydrant I used as an attackpoint. In addition, this location was used about 4-5 years ago and it was visible from the road i came in on. not sure exactly how much faster but it is all good trail and then road. whereas you had to run through the camp 6 including railroad tracks
