The Mogollon Rim Rogaine is coming up in May. I think the elevation will be 7000'+. Any ideas on how to prepare for a 12 or 24 hour rogaine at this altitude? Also, does anyone have any experience with these intermittent hypoxia trainers like AutoLab?

that should be "AltoLab" not "AutoLab"

No special altitude prep needed for Mogollon Rim particularly for a long event where you're way of VO2Max. What you will need to prep for is the dryness. The air will suck all the moisture out of you and you won't even realize it's happening because everything evaporates so fast. Dehydration often passes as altitude sickness. Keep yourself topped up with fluids and you should be fine.

The way to train for high elevation is to train in high elevation.
Don't know if that product you mentioned is good or not. if you are used to lower elevations, you will get winded on the rim. Elevation training is the only effective way I know of to stop this.

You will get winded but as you are being winded your harder than usual breathing will supply enough air/oxygen to your muscles because the workout intensity will not be even close to VO2 Max. So if you are fit to do 24 hours on the flat you should not feel much diference in the 5000 feet.

On the other hand if you go for shorter endurence workout where you can sustain VO2Max and close to VO2Max intensities (say 5 mins to 2 hours) then you will get winded but at that point even when you are at your max ventilatory threshold (highest volume of air you are able to breath in )
you body will still have insufficient oxygen supply. Thats why you need the high altitude training in this case.
