This month's trail running special issue of Canadian Running magazine features a photo of Wil Smith in the Editors section of the magazine. The Editor voted the Salomon DontGetLost.ca Raid the Hammer Adventure Run as the best trail running race he did in 2008. Nevin French arranged for the editor of the magazine to race with Wil last November. We are hopeful that this positive exposure in the Canadian running community will be good not only for the growth of our sport but also for the acceptance of orienteering as a (tough/gnarly/extreme) running sport among runners.
Also featured in this month's magazine is an article on AdventureScience.ca's search for Steve Fossett.
who won? did WIl let him win? hehe!
Are we talking the Fresh Prince?
:) Male category I won with Logvin's family :)
It is a great news for Canadian orienteering that there are articles about our sport! we need more of them to advertise orienteering on the local and national levels! Great news, thx Mike for update!
Hey Hammer, is there a link to the article? If not, where can those of us neighbors to your south pick up a copy?
No online version of the editorial but here is a link

The right magazine.
The right race.
The right guy for Michal to run with.
In the words of Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, I love it when a plan comes together.
