Yeah, but you probably can't fly underground on the old map like you can on the new one.

On the other hand, after is sometimes better than before.

Compare the drainage on the new map in High Tor WMA (near Naples, NY) with the old one:

Old: http://docs.unh.edu/NY/napl03se.jpg (the area I'm looking at is around the I of ITALY on this map). The old map has linked up gullies that don't actually link up.

Yeah, going back to 1957 is one thing, but going all the way back to 1903 is quite a different matter. I'm guessing that the major difference was the invention of the airplane.
