For the A-meet this weekend, the walk to start on Day 1 is 500 m, all flat (10 min).

The walk to start on Day 2 is 700 meters, with some climb at the end (15-20 min).

Parking will be near the Finish both days.

One map scale change to note: The short course maps will all be at 1:7500 instead of 1:10000.

Also, check out the event website for a link to start times and an advance copy of the sprint relay registration info and form.

See you in New England this weekend.

Why the scale change?

Because that's what the course setter sent me for printing.

Thanks, I was digging through the event web site like crazy to find how long the walk to the start is on day one. Makes a difference since I drive up in the morning and try to arrive at a reasonable time, but not two hours early.

I like the map scale, the bigger the better. I like to be able to read the map. And probably JJ printed them 1:7495, but he is not telling us, waiting for Mr. G to figure it out.

Do you mean the Saturday A meet day courses are printed at 1:7,500? Not the sprints?

jjcote:
Saturday morning short ("middle") individual -- 1:7500
Saturday afternoon sprint relay -- 1:5000
Sunday classic individual - 1:10000

Is there not e-punching at the NEOC meet this weekend? I don't see a mention of e-punching or rental sticks at the web site.

That's correct. The rental e-punch equipment was used for the Pig last weekend and there wasn't enough time to ship it to NEOC, program it, and get it out in the woods. We'll be using J-J's results system. It should work very well but you'll need to take your own splits.
