| Spike: | I wonder why they use mass starts for night O'. Any idea? Is that the norm for Swiss night O' champs?
And thanks for posting the maps. |

| szurcher: | I'm not sure why. It was the first time they have had a mass start for the Night-O champs that I know of. There weas lots of forking, and since we were only 11 runners in DE, most of us ended up alone about half way through the race.
The woods were really interesting, I will try to make it back in daylight before I head to Sweden, or at least when I get back. I would like to run the course again. |

| negniRO: | The area looks similar to some of the Danish areas, like the one we ran the camp championships at last fall. Is the area similar at all? |

| szurcher: | The terrain was pretty similar from a vegetation point of view. Except I would say it was closer to the first map we were on for the line-o, and the middle distance training than say the club champs. It has, however, much less climb than in Denmark (how ironic and place in Switzerland has less climb than in Denmark). Its a really good point that they are similar though, I should head over there few time this summer for training to simulate the vegetation for WOC. Its only about 30 drive from where we live. |
