This looks like an amazingly exciting race. USA had solid performances across the board. I don't know how Canada could have slipped away from our men and women.

But Brian! At the end of a week of tremendous effort and great results, to have a race like that on the opening leg... inspiring! Awesome job!

Brian's run was truly fantastic, uner 1 min/km back—an improvement compared to any WOC 2003 USA Relay runner—and Mikell did very well holding off the Japanese runner and eating up the gap on Hammer. Sandy H-J did very well on the first leg for Canada.

Brian's leg was awesome. Great job. Well done USA. WHile Sandy may have stood out,I think Canada had solid performances from all the runners. Congrats. A big improvement from 2003 for both the men and the women.

Ditto on most of the comments above, and thanks to the US Team (members and leaders) and the WOC organizers (incl internet people) for a very entertaining event.

I just saw Randy H (mapsurfer.com) congratulated David Irving on his medal in the Trail O WOC, and thought that deserved a mention on this site as well.

Thanks for your appreciation. As the "technology nerds" we are, I can guarantee that we really enjoyed producing the www.woc2004online.com web site.
We got many good comments and we had lots of lots of visitors. And the knowledge of that Internet-connected-people all around the world could follow the champs probably better than those who actually was there, using a video stream and the online results, actually feels quite cool.
So a big thanks to all of you who followed us trought the online web, we had as much fun as you :)

regards
Daniel
