Great -- sounds like a blast. Hard to imagine how you have the time for that on top of your multiple sports activities, but it's great that you're doing this. I actually know of two people in the orchestra, although I suspect neither would know/remember me. Fred Smith is one; I took bass lessons from him briefly (I play electric bass, not upright, but Fred plays both). The other is Alan Lowne, who used to work for the company that I used to work for (and I still do work there, part time).

Honestly, I haven't been in the group long enough to get to know Fred or Alan, though I'm sure I've seen them. I don't know many people outside the woodwind section right now.

Yeah the scheduling Wednesday nights gets real hairy - but it's too much fun to drop. Luckily we're off for most of the summer, so I'll have more time to work on orienteering.
