Hey I'm just curious because we have been doing quite a bit on sorting out insulin regimes this week - do you happen to know if the high was the "dawn phenomenom" or a stress response thing or something else?

the dietitian i went to said that it was adrenalin that pushed my blood sugar up after rides. she said that my blood sugar should go upwards after short sessions under half an hour, and on longer sessions over an hour they should come down a little bit. this doesnt seem to be the case for me though as my blood sugar still went up even after a long ride (as this ride was) even though i have had nothing to eat before them because they are at 6am. i guess it must be as you a stress response or something like that.

Cool thanks for the answer - its all pretty interesting from a physiological perspective, although I'm guessing not so fun if its actually happening to you!
