| Cristina: | The Sprint Series standings have been updated (finally) and are available, as always, at http://sprintseries.org/
Standings are current through the PNWOF Riverside Sprints, which means that there have now been 80 sprints in the Series for 2009. Not only that, but over 200 women have sprinted alongside almost 700 men. The Decider in charge of updating the standings is coming out of her bunker and will be making updates more frequently - especially as we approach the end of the season and the Sprint Series Finals! Expect a few announcements in the next week about prizes and potential ways to increase your standing. Sprint! -The Deciders |

| orienteeringmom: | I'm confused a bit; the USOF event calendar list Sprint Champs at ROC the end of Sept. but you list the final as being in CA in Nov. Are these different events all together of what? What is the difference in these two events. |

| Cristina: | The US Sprint Championships are the official USOF champs. Championship medals are awarded to the winners of each age group who are eligible for US champs. The Sprint Series Finals is the end of season extravaganza to determine the winner of the Sprint Series - Which has nothing to do with USOF and has no eligibilty requirements and is a means for the US Team to fundraise. And there will be cool prizes.
Both events will be superfun! |

| orienteeringmom: | Ok, Thanks Christina, I hadn't realized that we had an USOF sprint champ. I thought we just had the sprint series. I guess I'm a little behind in things. |
