Sorry to hear about your back, but it sounds like you're on top of it.

Thanks. Always nice when you can figure out where things went wrong. Easier to correct then. How's your ankle/knee?

I've been icing my ankle, and it's past the "raw pain" stage. I probably shouldn't push it too hard for a few days, but it doesn't feel like it will last as long as my *big* ankle sprains (one of which happened 4 weeks before our wedding!)

Sprains can be nast! Once you've had one you seem to be prone to more. As if it has created a weakness. My son's had a few (same ankle) during his late teens. Take care.

Yup, that's true. When I had my last really bad sprain a few years ago, someone said it would take a year to heal completely, and I was quite convinced they were wrong. But they were right! It takes awhile to retrain your brain for proprioception. Luckily, this sprain wasn't as complete as that one.

Funny...I had to look up that word, proprioception. Although I can look at it and know what it means, I've never heard the term before. Turns out I have a very old dictionary (1980) and had to google it.

Until you twist your ankle badly, it's not a word that you need! :-)
