Rosstopher: Was your catching features experience the only indication of compass suckage? Have you had other experiences that corroborate this damning assertion? We are clearly in need of a window-o to work on some straight up compass stuff :)

iansmith: The mechanism for interaction with trees in Catching Features is somewhat unrealistic, since the angular direction change from a collision with a tree seems to go as 1/(trunk radius). Running through little saplings is incredibly frustrating.

It is given that my compass skills are not at elite level, but it is something I have struggled with in the past. I will make a good measurement with my forerunner sometime, perhaps in Pine Hill.
