X8A7: And nobody is talking about the Who at half time.

Joe: who dat?

#  Posted 2010-02-06 06:20:22
jjcote: I may watch the game, but only for Pete and Roger; I'm not very interested in the actual football or the commercials.

Swampfox: I've seen the past couple of half time shows, and so I think I'll keep the streak alive this time around, too. The Who certainly were an important part of rock.

Joe: what will they play? squeeze box, 5:15, tommy?

#  Posted 2010-02-06 08:18:52
X8A7: My prediction, the same songs as concert for NY: Who are you; Baba, Blue Eyes, WGFA (in that order). Unless they decide to play some of their newish stuff.

#  Posted 2010-02-06 14:25:51
jjcote: A medley of CSI themes.

#  Posted 2010-02-06 20:24:23
Swampfox: That would be embarassing.

#  Posted 2010-02-06 23:35:00
jjcote: Now, what would I want to hear? Sparks, Pinball Wizard, Magic Bus, Love Reign O'er Me... and maybe My Generation for the humor value.

#  Posted 2010-02-07 00:10:09
Swampfox: I do not make this prediction: that mid-song in Who Are You, the Who will break into Squeeze Box as Janet Jackson vaults onto the stage from cloud of smoke with Justin Timberlake close behind her. It will be like nothing that nobody never saw on Ed Sullivan.

Swampfox: Anyway, the kids are gonna be alright as long as we get to see a fine looking candy red strat. (I think it's actually Torino, but candy is more fun.)

Joe: warning - here is a spoiler of what they will play.

The band will be performing "a mashup of stuff," according to guitarist Pete Townsend. "A bit of 'Baba O'Riley,' a bit of 'Pinball Wizard,' a bit of the close of 'Tommy,' a bit of 'Who Are You,' and a bit of 'Won't Get Fooled Again'," he told Billboard.

jjcote: Yep, they got all of the CSI themes in there.
