mapboy: Today it snowed in Virginia. Will it last for three weeks?

Swampfox: I'd say you guys are having a weird winter. You should probably expect about 10 more weeks of winter and start building igloos and looking for seals in the Potomac right away, if you haven't begun already.

jima: You know, I'm kinda glad AP has only been around for 10 years.
Who know's what Swampfox ramblings might have been like back in the day, when we were all impressionable and sensitive and might have taken exception to having our ski tracks analyzed by one with such impressive insight.

Swampfox: Jima is being too modest here, and is not mentioning the truth, which is that he taught me all I know.

mapboy: A week later and the snow is still here. I don't know about Jima, I think he has snow envy.

jima: Big time, send some up here please.

Last snow of any substance was just before the MLK weekend, then the big rain, then nothing, and more nothing, and still more nothing.

Although there was snow falling today in Craftsbury, VT as the Ski-O Champs are underway. Snowed all day, got maybe an inch or two. Just enough to cover the thin spots - enough so you couldn't see them. Thin spots were still there.

Of course, no snow in Laconia.

Swampfox: Mapboy, do you folks even have school anymore in DC-land what with all the snow and glaciers and such, or have all the school districts thrown in the towel and are now planning for next year instead?
