Discussion: Registration now open

Registration for the Rocky Mountain Orienteering Festival is now open. Reduced price early bird registration is available until April 15th, and registration closes on July 1st. For more details see the event website

If I'm understanding this correctly, the national champs events are on the weekdays, while the regional champs events on the weekend? That seems backwards to me. It might make more sense if the weekday events were bridging two weekend events, but there isn't a second weekend event.

Also, how many teams are you expecting for a relay champs on a Tuesday? I'd really like to make it to a US Relay Champs, but putting it on a Tuesday makes it very unlikely for me.

That is RMOC's plan but the BOD have not allocated the championships, so it could still be changed. I suggest you comment if you disapprove. (Note: the meet is still in sanctioning but it is not sanctioning's job to worry about day-of-the-week issues; that is the BOD's job.)
