Discussion: Marathon?

I did the Washington's Birthday Marathon as my first one in 1977. I later came to live in Greenbelt in the 80's and 90's and had the opportunity to run the road used by the marathon a lot. I recall some memorable winter runs across the rolling hills and splitting the windy fields. I wonder if they had the race. The roads 9 miles of roads used used to get plowed off of snow pretty well.
