That must feel awesome! Are you still doing the 5 Peaks run next weekend? I still haven't decided.

Meridian...?!? Who the heck is that? Oh wait... I seem to recall a guy a way back in the day. ...although this guy Bender has also seem to drop off from logging his training on AP also.

Where you cottaging? I'm headed up just east of Bracebridge tonight until Monday afternoon and planning on maintaining my training runs over the weekend (hangovers and all). If close by want to hook up for a long run in the land of cottages?

are you planning on doing the long run from the rail trail saturday morning? I was thinking 6:30 or 6:45 and going 2:15, or will you do a drunken bug run with the bender?

Bender! Wow, another voice from the distant past!
(We miss you. Get logging.)

Thesis is finish as of Monday, just waiting for a defence commitee to appear, looks like late-Aug, early-Sept. Yes it feels good, but i don't like the late defence.

I'm pretty sure i'll race the 5peaks next weekend. I'll most likely sign up Tuesday.

My soon to be sister in law owns a cottage up in Temagami, so not really close to you Bender. I'll be canoeing all weekend long up in canoe country so no running. The only way to get to the cottage is by boat since its an island cottage...pretty stoked about that since i've never been.

No running for me Wes. Gotta hit the road at 6:00AM, long 5.5hr drive up by myself. Not particularly the best ITT training;)

...I second that. Temagami is one of my favorite places in Canada (Hammer can tell you about our first ever meeting; which took place in the Temagami backcountry at around 3am). I'm headed up there for a 5-day canoe trip at the end of the month myself. We actually need a fourth if your interested and have the time, although you'll probably be putting finishign touches on your presentation at that time.

A comprehensive answer to all our AP questions - bodes well for the success of the thesis.

have fun this weekend, it sounds really nice.

Thanks folks. I saw where the cottage is, an OMG it looks absolutely beautiful. Canoe routes everywhere, outdoor heaven! That and the cottage is so rustic from what i hear no power etc etc. I'll think about that offer Bender, depending on how much i enjoy this weekend. Too bad i didn't know you loved it up there, i would have offered in advance to come up as my guest (although i short noticed this one yesterday). Will have to plan some adventures in the future!

MIght want to look up the British definition of that before putting it on Attack Point.

Temagami. Aaaahh the time I met Bender for the first time. Kind of ironic since it looked like I was recovering from a Bender.

The WaddSquad is off to Killarney for a few days of paddling as well. I can't wait.

...I hear a little George Micheal coming on. That was the running joke all this weekend while my university friends and I were up cottaging on Pine Lake.

Ahh...i knew something was funny with Bender. Perhaps we'll rename you GenderBender? Got a nice ring to it;)
