An Austrian orienteer, Gert Binder, looks for a ride from NYC to the Billygoat. Contact: gertbinder at yahoo dot com. Anyone who can help him to get to Mt. Tom?
He should probably contact Greg Balter, either through AP or through email.
Greg's ride is filled up to the maximum.
Well, if nothing else works out for Gert, he can take a MetroNorth train to New Haven on Sunday morning, and I'd be happy to pick him up at the station there and give him a ride to the Goat.
Boris, That's very generous. He e-mailed me that he still needs a ride. Could you possibly e-mail him directly and suggest a plan? gertbinder at yahoo dot com.
Phil, is it too late if we arrive at 10:30-10:40? That's the only realistic way to pull this off, I think, judging from the train schedule.
That would be be cutting it very close. If you're all pre-registered, you could grab your race packet and drive up to the start (no walk). Briefing at 10:50. But not much leeway if, for example, the train is late. So I'm not sure what to say.
I am sleeping at a friend house in New York(Maspeth) Saturday night, then drive to the race Sunday morning. So I e-mailed Gert to offer him a ride.
So is it settled? Is Gert going with Florin?
