I'm also pleased to hear that, and I'd add the following:

1. There have been many times in the past when I have seen Jeff and Judy, and Sam and Hilly, and thought, there is the best example you could imagine of parents doing a great job raising kids. You have a wonderful family. Both girls are really special.

I know you know this. And I know you know that we think you're all great. But it still needs to be said.

And I know there are a lot of NEOC folks that feel the same way.

2. You also deserve a tremendous amount of credit for your efforts in pushing these changes in the club's leadership. Thank you.

3. And on a more light-hearted note, there seems to be a special group of folks who have been trashed by the former president. The members that I know of are Jeff and Sam, and Ian, and Cristina and her mom Sara, and me. There may well be others. Think about it -- what a fine group to belong to. And certainly, whenever the next relays are, we would all qualify to run for that fine old team that you and I and the girls used to have -- Young and Beautiful.... :-)

As well as non-NEOC folks. Props to you.

Yep. Saeger-Karpinskis are at the top of the list of very fine people. We have enjoyed knowing them for quite a long time.

Wow--I don't think I've ever heard of situations where the incoming club president felt it was necessary to call up members and apologize for the actions and speech of the outgoing president.

It had sounded like things were not good, but they must have been well beyond that, and in the realm of the really bad.

As another non-NEOCer we certainly agree with Peter... Jeff, Judy, Sam and Hilly are the nicest people I know and totally devoted to furthering orienteering.
