hey,
i'd like to upload a gpx as a trainingslog. the date, time, climb and the distance could be read out automaticly.

i didnt saw this possibility. maybe there is a way to make it reality?
greetings from berlin

This feature is already available for people who donate to the site

oh ok. i've found the diskussion: Garmin transfer

i searched only for gps and gpx, because of having only a cheap gps tracker.

it's not in planning to open the feature for the whole community?
i would use attackpoint much often if it would.

You get a great online training log and orienteering forum for free, make a donation and you get extra features that make it even better - its in your hands...

I use the gpx import feature (not all the time though) and it works quite nicely for those of us not using the Forerunner series or, like me, not running under Windows so I can't use the little garmin applet for uploading. The only minor gotcha is that it currently only imports the first track if your gpx file contains multiple tracks, so you may need to massage your gpx file accordingly before uploading.

Ken's software does particularly nice maps & graphs - much nicer in my opinion that some of the other offerings out there, see PG's recent Billygoat re-walk - mouse along the route and see all sorts of useful metrics (alt, hr, pace etc).

The Garmin Communicator plugin works for MacOS - are you running some kind of *nix?

One easy if not easiest way to post gps tracks of regular everyday training runs is using my experimantal cell phone app. It posts training session with gps track to AP right after the workout, direclty from the phone, so you don need to make gpx export files or upload files with browser. This "AP App" works in Nokia s60 phones and uses phone's internal gps or external bluetooth gps. Most of my regular runs are logged like this these days. You can use wifi to make the post if you like, if you don't have fixed data plan or something.

I think there is some instructions and app's download link in one of the gps threads. App is pretty reliable and used for hundreds of hours - it's basicly the same app we use for Yökuppi live tracking, just used here live mode off.

OK, I'm trying to move from Luddite to Troglodyte status here... I'm pretty sure I've donated recently enough, because the other features show up for me, but I can't figure out how to upload GPS data. I don't have a Garmin watch, I have another kind of tracker, but I can use GPSBabel to get the data into any form that I need. Scanning through the thread here, I can't tell whether this feature has been added for non-Garmin situations yet, so maybe the problem is that I don't have some other piece of software that would shake hands with Attackpoint. In any case, I don't see anything in the AddTraining form that looks like a way to upload this GPS stuff. Am I just not seeing it (entirely possible) or is it not there for me?

(Hmm, the development list shows that this is live now, so I must be doing something wrong...)

Hi JJ, it's not there for you. You need to make an annual donation to upload new GPS data. (some things don't expire, for example you'll always be able to see old gps uploads)

Then you'll find it at the bottom of the add-training form, see "+GPX file".
