Timato:
You should try to get in one more long run before the raid. Try to go out Saturday for an easy 2 hour run and then taper for the Raid.

Don't worry i'll be putting one in for sure this weekend. I already have my route plotted out and ready to go. Past couple of weekends have been tough on me and haven't been getting great sleep. But tapering for the Raid is a must! Probably only going to do a few short 30min runs that week.

We try to follow Tarno's advice on carb loading before events of this length. He recommends exercising to exhaustion (long, low intensity) four days before your event, then tapering over the next few days while you eat 70-75% carbs in your diet with extra H2O. I don't have your e-mail ID, but could send you my detailed notes from his adventure racing nutrition lecture. (On the other hand, I'm not sure that I want your team to get any faster! ;-) )
