Most of the comments I read suggested that the course was too easy and much more running orientated - the 30min winning times seems to confirm this. Do you mean the map was badly mapped as well? (Maybe that's why they made the routes less technical?)

Mapping was okay. Some people feel it should have been mapped differently, but I was happy with it.

The forest area was the shitty part. Lots of felled area, lots of green. Not much more 'classic nordic' terrain. The organisers essentially decided on the finish arena first, and then tried to find orienteering terrain, rather than vice versa. All part of the move to make orienteering more publicity friendly, but sacrificing true orienteering in the meantime.
