We'll be old by then. Boo. But it would be wicked cool if it worked out anyway!

Guess what Ski-O is up against? Cross country running! I kid you not.

and no you wouldn't be too old you would make great Olympians.

Wait, how is XC not an olympic sport yet? That is like the ultimate original test of athleticism, no? They should take out the lame sports and put in real sports.

I may not be too old but I'll almost certainly be too broken...

How would XC running fit in the winter Olympics??

Cristina:
It's kind of a fall/mud sport, so it doesn't clearly fit into either summer or winter, if you ask me...

But most (all?) of the other winter sports require frozen water of some sort.

Yeah it is bizarro on XC and not say snowshoeing. I figure snowshoeing has a much stronger chance than ski-O though. Snowshoeing is the fastest growing winter sport in North America.

Yes, true, all of the current winter sports require snow or ice...

Yeah--snowshoeing in the Olympics. That would be cool to watch.

Snowshoeing is harder than XC. Great cross-training for us northeners, though we ran a snowshoe race last year where only some of the areas had snow; some were just frozen trails.

I've never watched a snowshoe race, but whenever I see people snowshoeing it seems like it would be sort of annoying to watch a race between them. It seems like such a deliberate movement, unlike running, skiing, and cycling, which are all so smooth and natural looking. Not saying it wouldn't make a good sport for the games, just that it doesn't appeal to me.
