Discussion: Ride home?

Is there anyone going who could either drop me near New Haven, or somewhere public transportable back? I am camping overnight before with Mike and Marie, but need to get back to be in the lab! Anywhere on the Metro North line or Hartford at a push!

Separately (or relatedly) is anyone going to/from Boston?

possibly. but bethel - norwalk - new haven is not optimal.

If there's no other offers Joe, that would be great - significantly cheaper than hiring a car for the weekend, though definitely not optimal as you say!

We could take you to Hartford or Bradley. What time do you need to be there?

No time in particular, but Hartford would be Greyhound and I think Metro North is cheaper. Definitely more pleasant anyway!

Sounds good, like a possible plan.

There's also Amtrak from Hartford, five or so times a day. It's cheap if booked in advance; not sure how much less so if you just show up. (And you need a ticket before boarding - can't buy one on the train, which rules out the unstaffed stations like Windsor Locks.)
