Any guesses at estimated winning time? The long in the spring was 7.2 and had 210m of climb. Robbie mopped that course up in 1:07:03 at 9.3min/km's. I say wt for this course will be just under 50 minutes considering the leaves on the trees.

It's on my log somewhere. I'll find it and send a message to you.

If you're not out training long enough on the long course, add on the short course which has three unique controls.

I'm not worried, one race will be enough ; )

Boyle, any chance you'll have ribbons up later this week? I'm in Montreal this weekend and can't make the event, but am heading up around there there Thursday for a run I think.

Ribbons have been up for ages. Let me see if I can find you an e-copy of the map.

Fellow Orienteers,

The second meet of the autumn season will be taking place at Cite des Jeunes this Sunday. The start and finish will be at the Relais Pleine Aire, (not at the Cegep). There will be the standard four courses: Novice, Intermediate, Short-Advanced, and Long-Advanced. SIs will be used for the latter three courses. I think these courses are interesting and challenging.

I have avoided using the top portion of the large cliffs for the long advanced this year due as I was unable to rent trampolines for those who mistakenly run too far.

Directions are as follows:
By Car: On hwy 5 take exit Bvld des Plaines Hautes. west. At traffic lights at T -junction, turn left. Relais Pleine Aire is on your right about a km along and NCC has a P2 sign for it.
By bus: use STO (Gatineau transit) travel planner (http://www.sto.ca/horaires/index_e.html) and search by public place in Hull sector for educational campus Gabriel Roy - this is commonly known as CEGEP. Relais Pleine Aire is adjacent to the north.

Note that what was the fenced baseball field on the map has been converted to a fenced football field.
The map, however, still shows it as a baseball field. No need to relocate. You are not in the twilight zone (at least not due to this).

Thanks to Colin Kirk for help with the design/review of the courses, and to Bill Anderson for his help with OCAD and printing the maps. Thanks also to Linda Connell and everyone helping out at registration.

See you there and have fun.
