That's awesome. I had the very same issue coming out of control 12 but as I put my toe down on the nice flat terrain, I jumped back just in time. For anyone who cares, I put up AP splits for the race.

Despite having traveled a fair distance through the air initially after crossing the perimeter of the water, I still had a long way to go, and it was quite deep. In the end I turned around and waded out of the pond. Pierre can attest to this as he witnessed the whole affair. As I floundered my way back to the shore he politely informed me that the pond was in fact marked and that I should pay more attention to my map.
