Tights exist that are not of the lycra/spandex variety? This confuses me far more than the double Becky thing...
On a related note, I am not at all a fan of the whole spandex-under-long-shirt trend that is going on. When I'm not in exercise gear, I like my clothing to be loose and not-stretchy. =)
or nappy-like, if necessary...
Well, they are still lycra, but a lower percentage.
I am also not a fan of the whole T Shirt/ spandex thing at all. They just look li,ke they forgot half their clothes. And only rake thin tall girls actually pull it off. I am none of those things. And neither are most of the girls wearing them. In NYC last weekend one girl was wearing flesh coloured ones and you could see her whole bum. It made me feel a little bit sick.
Back to tights. For winter you want a high denier (40-60) or wool. High denier 'nylon' tights feel much nicer against the skin than the much lower (7-15) variety. As for brands, umm... I don't know.
That's it, I know where to go back home but not here! I bought some but they were really crappy. I might just wait till I get home now, seeing as it's crazy warm again today!
M&S is the place to go! I can send you some if you want?
I have some really warm ones from asos, who I think have just started shipping to the states, clearly they're sold for the kind of people who forget to put a skirt on but I find they work great with a skirt too (or under jeans when in Scotland)
I will go to M & S when I get back in a few days! That is a sparkling idea!
Try EMS or a bike/running store.
Um, I think Macy's would be a better bet...
I think the trend is for those who don't already spend several hours a day wearing tights for exercise :)
Is Hue a brand you have in the States? I like them. (Although I'm more of a tights-with-feet kind of girl). But it's probably cheaper to buy tights in the UK if France and Germany are any indication.
That settles it! Home to M & S it is!
