PG: Congrats for finishing, though I hope you haven't done too much damage to yoursef.

Is Fred on the prowl for a new girlfriend?

Charlie: That was my first thought as well!

PBricker: No, the same girlfriend was with him, dutifully playing support crew, walking up from at least two aid stations to meet him on the trail. He was the only runner on the course with his own crew!

He says he's thinking of doing a 50 miler in November.

cmorse: Congrats...

I did the first one... once is enough for me too.

My mistake was trying to pace myself against one recently decaffeinated orienteer in the early going. Bad move on my part.... But I managed to finish thanks to an aid station worker at a later station who gave me a caffeinated beverage from her personal stash - I must have really looked like crap at that point but the last 6 miles or so I blew by a ton of people (once the caffeine kicked in...)

Charlie: Phil, I would say this lays down the gauntlet for the Highlander. Your training on top of your speed may make you unbeatable.

PBricker: Charlie, I'll do whatever it takes -- even running a trail marathon in o-shoes -- to keep my streak going against you in the Highlander.

Charlie: I'm thinking about upping the ante by avoiding the 1/2 hour error I made last year!
