Nice combination of activities; I may have to replicate this session.

How do you have a weight reduction on the pullup? Is there some sort of pulley-counterweight system set up in the gym?

It was sad not to see you at the Superstars! Hopefully you'll be around for some social O- activities in the winter.

You can get fancy ones with pulleys but the yale one just has a counter weight on a pivot - so when you pull up, the weight goes down.

Have you done a Turkish get up before? They're fun!

Wow, turkish get ups are complicated! Is this a standard way of standing up in Turkey?

One of the most unusual strength sessions I have seen is the so-called "300 workout" that has 300 repetitions and was used for the preparation of the actors in the movie 300. I particularly like the kettlebell clean-and-presses. It isn't as specific as runners need, and probably builds more muscle than is useful for endurance sports like orienteering, skiing, and bowling.

I love kettlebells! There aren't any in the Yale gym though. I'm going to move to West Point.
