soupbone commented that with chip timing, your position in the waves does not matter as much as it used to. Do you agree?
it does not matter as much when you are talkig about where you line up in YOUR wave but the wave you are in (1-10 matters)...the earlier the wave the better the course conditions....the faster you ski....
MAJ stated that the two of you skied together for a bit. She said she even whacked you in the head with her pole when you fell. :-)
yes, I fully expected her to stop and check to see if I was ok but I think she mistook me for Jerritt : )
Thanks for not turtleing around when you fell on that downhill. I think I hooked your pole and thought I maybe whacked you in the head with my pole. If I did, sorry.
Some of the downhills were pretty exhilarating.
if you did I did not feel it.....I was focused on trying to get up and out of the way I honestly, I did not know what to do...I was in a bad spot...I was on an incline on a blind turn and there really was not a side of the trail to scramble to...I was having a hard time standing and it took me awhile to get in a position to brace off my poles....still in the track, mind you fearing, that someone was going to come around the corner and KO me again and start the whole process over....luckily as I was in the very right hand track and no one came through...that was a miracle...and I managed to stand after one false start and get going again...it seemed like forever....
Oh dear, that bit about getting "KO'ed" is funny stuff. Not to laugh at your misfortune. Who takes someone out from behind? Geez. I'm glad I was not nearby, I was pretty kamikaze on the downhills.
