And whilst my bike and I were unharmed, the screen on my phone doesn't seem to have taken to kindly to breaking my fall.

bugger. Reminds me of the time i cracke dthe screen on my garmin after going over my handlebars mtbing. i now dont keep my watch on my handlebars when mtbing.
