So how fast can you walk this? I'd guess there is a bigger difference between walking and running on the flats. All running training is good--got to get your Billygoat time down!
I've been really impressed with all your early morning hikes.

Same loop as I hiked yesterday - so maybe about 45 minutes if I pushed really hard. Definitely want to be able to jog trails if we end up doing the BG - otherwise I don't think we'll make the time limit.

I have a schedule this year where all my classes are in the afternoon so it's made early morning workouts possible and afternoon workouts less likely. And it's always hard to do something after getting home if I've stayed late at school which has been the rule rather than the exception lately. And it didn't hurt that I listened to all three of the Stieg Larrson books and I only listened when I was hiking - that was great motivation when the weather was cold. I wanted to know what happened next!

The biggest thing though was to stop beating myself up over "just hiking" instead of running.

So you would be channeling Lisbeth Salander? Scary. She was apparently partly based on Pippi Longstocking.
