Great race exceeding your goal time by 5 minutes! You were third person coming back from the turnaround. Was one of those a really sick 50k runner or did you pass them eventually? You certainly would have been a contender for the 50k, would have been interesting to see.

Actually, a guy I was running with most of the way yesterday hung around for a burger then headed for the airport - he's running Boston on 1 day rest! Of course, he doesn't expect to go too fast.

Ha, ha. That must have burned your ass. You fly all the way to Ithaca to qualify, and then get closed out of the race. But now you meet him, find he'd entered Boston successfully, and was just jogging through the marathon as a recovery run!

Hope you taught him a little respect, and dropped him off the back yesterday.

Well, I did drop him on the last section coming in, but he would have smoked me if he had been running the 25. He was in the 50 (where he finished 2nd). I think he normally runs a marathon around 2:45.
