Discussion: What are style points?

Often the Billygoat entails an informal competition among clubs/teams. The event director traditionally awards points for style to supplement mundane details of who finished ahead of whom.

Once, as meet director long ago with Peter Goodwin as course setter, the Canadians not only gave us high quality maple syrup, but also performed some great somersaults before the race.

This year, it's not that Joe and I don't love maple syrup, but other brown liquids in bottles might help your cause....

Western MA/NEOC - 11 years
HVO - 5 years
WCOC - 3 years
OME, UNO, DVOA - 2 years
MQ, CNYO, HKF, EMPO, CSU, RMOC - 1 year

Yeah the year HKF won (now known as GHO) we had a few runners in the top 10 but realizing performance alone might not give us enough points to win the prestige as top club we smuggled in some of Canada's finest maple syrup as a 'gift'. I should add this category to our Dontgetlost.ca Adventure Running Series races. ;-)

I'm gonna miss the Billygoat again. Still some of the most enjoyable races I've ever participated in were the six Billygoats races I did.
