Seems like your motivation is slipping.... try this ..... take a donut and a can of premium beer and suspend them from your head on a stick... about 3' in front of you should be fine . Keep an eye on them and then try to catch up with them...... or just think about a 50 year old fart beating you (again) at the Possum Trot . Either of those two should get you on the road to training again .... go man go ! If you don't watch out you will go the same way as Stephen who has bulked up all the way up to 176 lbs (super heavy duty Clydesdale weight ????) and has had to go on a bread and water diet (according to his log).

I like the way you think Ian. Believe me, the Possum Trot is the only reason I am not sitting on my couch eating a gallon of ice cream a night. If it is anywhere near as hilly as last year, I can't afford any extra weight.

Motivation was a little better last couple of days, and I plan to squeeze a short run in tonight. Just lots of other obligations.

I think that if you did sit on the couch and eat a gallon of ice cream each night then a couple of other folks in your household might jump on you and turn you into pulp ! I suggest you don't try that at home.....maybe you should bring the gallon of ice cream to a training session for us to share (i prefer choc chip by the way)
