There's nothing you can do in this week to make you better at Team Trials. You're fit, you're fast, and your navigation is eons better than 18months ago.

There is something you can do to make you perform worse though - train too soon after this illness! Take it easy Ali, you've done the hard work. You'll be awesome at the weekend regardless. I hope you feel better soon though just because bad tonsils are annoyingly annoying.

=) Thanks Becks, definitely good to have encouragement to be patient, because it's soooo tempting to go and try to train! But am keeping tabs on that morning HR and the throat, and if it keeps up this rainyness, is at least slightly less tempting to go for a run...

Thanks Karen! Definitely excited to race, esp. if body now starts cooperating! Hope your back is not too bad?

Its getting better! But I am not doing anything to aggrivate it right now - say intervals, etc. I don't think sitting hours on end, hunched over a computer grading and writing 4 conference papers is helping, so I am trying to get all that done ASAP too! Sending you clean run vibes this weekend...the rest takes care of itself!
